Welcome to the Georgia Lithotripsy and Laser Center (GLLC). A licensed ambulatory surgical center, approved by both federal and state agencies and accredited by the American Lithotripsy Society, the GLLC specializes in urological procedures and has been in operation since 1990. The GLLC features the first office based lithotripsy system in America and has two operating rooms that are used in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of urologic conditions in an ambulatory setting.
Ambulatory surgery refers to procedures that are performed and the patient is able to go home that same day. The advantages include greater efficiency, convenience, lower cost and it allows the patient to recuperate in the more comfortable home environment. The Urology Clinic performs a variety of such procedures, including cystoscopy, ureteral stent placement, ESWL, circumcision and vasectomy just to name a few.
