Dr. Gary R. Walton was born in Winnipeg, Canada, and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He was an honor graduate of Davidson College and received his medical degree from Emory University's School of Medicine. He completed his internship in surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and his residency in urology at that center's J. Bentley Squire Urologic Clinic. He has presented research papers at several professional meetings, and his research has been the basis for both textbook articles and professional journals. He joined The Urology Clinic in 1993 and has served on numerous committees at both Athens' hospitals.
