Dr. Robert R. Byrne is a native of Houston, Texas. He was an undergraduate at Tulane University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, graduating with High Honors, and was elected as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as a Junior. He completed his internship and residency in the Division of Urology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina where he was the recipient of the Schering Academic Achievement Award three years in a row. He has published articles in professional journals and textbooks, and has presented his research at several professional meetings.
